Mounting pressure in the South Island High Country has led to the establishment of a cross-party group tasked with resolving some of the tensions.                                                        The High Country Advisory Group, established by Land Information New Zealand, aims to offer advice and insights to the Commissioner of Crown Lands and Land Information New Zealand (Linz) to enable greater transparency and communication in the management of Crown land in the South Island High Country.
