This isn't about mistreatment of cows. The much bigger issue is the toxic destruction of delicate eco-systems of national heritage. Short term profit takers stealing from those humans who will walk this earth in future years to come. This is the brink of a catastrophe and not only should further dairying and water abstraction be stopped - we should roll back all current dairying in this area. If these developers disguised as farmers really want to contribute to our economic wellbeing, laying pristine land to waste is too high a price for our great grandchildren to pay. This is a Dow chemicals toxic site-scenario on a massive scale. I encourage all readers and supporters to read Sam Mahon's "The Water Thieves" and "Canterbury's Wicked Water" by Murray Rogers (available at libraries) to see where this ecological devastation is taking the planet. Kill off Mother Nature and she can't support human life. The dairy markets in India and China are insatiable - we could poison the whole country and never satisfy the demand. We don't need it.

Enough is enough. Look to the Waitakere Ranges Heritage Act. Its an Act that has saved Aucklands precious jewel from further development erosion. Thanks for the videos I really had know idea this was going on.

Carl McNeil is right - we need more people like you, organised, campaign savvy, and angry about the future of New Zealand's animals, image, water ownership; all those things. Thank you.
